Place your dog straight and relaxed on all four paws.

Then measure with a flexible tape measure:

3. to the base of the tail

Do not measure to the tip of the tail.

This back length must be within the usable internal length of the Doggyfix. Additionally, measure the width of your dog in its preferred lying position. Especially for strong, broad, or heavily muscled dogs, not only the back length but also the internal width is important.

Why is the dog's weight not sufficient for size selection?

Dogs of the same weight can have completely different body shapes. A dachshund, for example, is relatively light, but due to its long body, it needs more internal length than many heavier dogs.

What Doggyfix size is suitable for a Pug?

Most Pugs fit into Doggyfix Small in terms of back length. However, as Pugs can have a strong and broad build, Medium may be more comfortable for larger specimens.

Therefore, in addition to back length, also measure the width in the preferred lying position.

What Doggyfix size is suitable for a Dachshund?

For most Dachshunds, we recommend Doggyfix Medium.

Although Dachshunds often weigh only a few kilograms, they can reach a back length of approximately 30 to 45 cm. Due to their long build, Medium is usually more comfortable than Small.

Miniature or Rabbit Dachshunds may also fit in Small, depending on their actual back length.

What Doggyfix size is suitable for a French Bulldog?

For a French Bulldog, Doggyfix Medium is usually the appropriate choice.

The back length often falls within the usable 52 cm. At the same time, Medium offers approximately 37 cm more internal width than Small, which accommodates the French Bulldog's strong and compact build.

What Doggyfix size is suitable for a Beagle or Cocker Spaniel?

Beagles and English Cocker Spaniels usually fit into Doggyfix Medium.

Their typical back length often ranges between approximately 42 and 48 cm, which falls within the usable internal length of about 52 cm.

What Doggyfix size is suitable for a Border Collie?

A smaller Border Collie can fit in Doggyfix Medium if its measured back length is at most 52 cm.

For larger Border Collies or if more space for stretching out is desired, we recommend Doggyfix Large.

What Doggyfix size is suitable for a Labrador or Golden Retriever?

Doggyfix Large is intended for Labrador Retrievers and Golden Retrievers.

The typical back length of these breeds often ranges between approximately 55 and 65 cm. This generally fits within the usable internal length of about 67 cm.

Since individual dogs can be larger, wider, or stronger, back length and body width must still be checked individually before ordering.

Does a German Shepherd fit in Doggyfix Large?

That depends on the actual back length.

German Shepherds can reach approximately 65 to 75 cm back length. Doggyfix Large offers about 67 cm usable internal length. Smaller dogs may therefore fit, but larger German Shepherds cannot lie fully stretched out in the seat.

If the back length is more than 67 cm, Doggyfix Large is not the right size.

What should I do if my dog is exactly at the size limit?

If possible, choose the larger option.

A dog with a back length of 41 or 42 cm technically fits in Small, but has more room to turn and lie down in Medium. The same applies to dogs near the 52 cm limit between Medium and Large.

For Large, it should also be noted that no larger Doggyfix variant is available. Dogs with a back length of more than approximately 67 cm require a different transport solution.

Can two dogs sit together in one Doggyfix?

This is only possible if both dogs comfortably fit into the usable internal area together and can each be secured separately with a suitable harness.

The dogs must not hinder each other or get tangled in the safety tethers. When in doubt, two separate dog car seats are the better solution.

Does Doggyfix fit in my car?

No. Attach the safety tether exclusively to a suitable harness.

In the event of sudden braking, a collar would immediately transfer the impact to the neck and throat. A well-fitting harness distributes the load over a larger body area.

How do I acclimate my dog to the Doggyfix?

First, let your dog get to know the Doggyfix outside of a long car journey.

What materials is Doggyfix made of?

The dog car seat consists of durable polyester and artificial leather on the outside. The interior features a pleasant fabric with a suede look.

The removable cushion creates a soft lying surface and facilitates cleaning.

How do I clean the Doggyfix dog car seat?

Light soiling can be removed with a damp cloth.

The basket can be carefully cleaned by hand. The cover of the seat cushion is machine washable at 30 degrees Celsius.

Allow all parts to dry completely before using the Doggyfix in the vehicle again.

Can Doggyfix be tumble dried?

No. The dog car seat and the cover of the seat cushion are not suitable for tumble drying.

Allow the cleaned parts to air dry.

Is Doggyfix waterproof?

The artificial leather surface is easy to care for and can be wiped clean with a damp cloth. However, Doggyfix is not a completely waterproof transport container.

Heavy wetness or larger amounts of water should be removed as quickly as possible.

Does Doggyfix deliver to parcel lockers?

No. Delivery to parcel lockers is currently not possible.
